One idea is to share timewalk gems, iirc basically retriggering the herbling's turn repeatedly should give it those once per turn evolutions which boost it's stuff, which makes it available for another evolution - means the herbling will be able to get to tier 6 in one 'round' rather than 6. you need to be able to last a little while against foes with vastly superior stats than you've got, so taking that into account is important, this isn't really a one turn wipe kinda class, and just kinda sucks that the game feels far more attuned to that sort of gameplay - but then, there's also 'literally fucking immortal' builds out there you could use for any specialization, so.Ī resurrection contingency or two won't go amiss, either - one creature with pandamonium rebirth can go a long way, This is also sort of an 'endurance' setup - survival is key a bit more than damage.
